Policies API Overview

InsureHero's Policies API offers a robust and efficient approach to insurance coverage management, catering to both informational and transactional needs. This module allows channel partners to thoroughly explore the details of various insurance plans, including their specific policies, exceptions, and terms. In addition to providing comprehensive visibility into available packages, the Policies API also facilitates the actual Risk Item subscription process, enabling partners to seamlessly subscribe insured subjects to the most suitable insurance policy for their needs. This dual functionality ensures that partners have both the necessary information and the means to take action, streamlining the insurance integration process.

Features of the Coverage Module:

  1. Policy Management: Use the API to retrieve detailed information about available policies and insurance packages, including coverages, exceptions, and pricing.

  2. User Management: Employ the API to manage users efficiently. This includes the ability to create and verify users through OTP routes, ensuring secure authentication processes.

  3. Risk Item Management: The API allows the channel partner to add and update Risk Items to a policy. When dealing with a Master Policy the channel partner can add Risk Items in large volumes generating costs under the policy pricing rules. The channel partner can also send asynchronous events tied to a Risk Item to add information that can drive a more precise coverage calculation, drive exclusions or costs for the insured subject.

Integration and Data Management:

  • File Attachment Functionality: The API supports attaching files via URLs in both the subscribe and events endpoints. This feature enables the inclusion of additional data relevant to the user's subscription or event.
